CENTDEV Properties Plans mixed use development in Hickory, NC
Cornelius, North Carolina – 2-28-07 - CENTDEV Properties is in the early stages of developing Catawba Crossing, a mixed use medical/retail/office development in Hickory, NC. The 2.7 acre site is located on the northwest quadrant of Interstate 40 and Lenoir Rhyne Blvd. The parcel is currently home to a Prime Sirloin steak house which would be converted into a medical office building consisting of a 5,000 square foot Urgent Care facility and additional medical office. In addition to the medical use, Centdev plans to add up to 15,000 additional square feet of retail and office space to the site.
“This is an exceptionally noticeable site at arguably the highest traffic area in Hickory. We look forward to bringing additional retail and a fresh look to the highly visible development,” said Thorn Baccich, a Marketing Analyst with Centdev Properties. The parcel is visible to over 100,000 vehicles per day, of which 45,000 pass directly in front of the site along Lenoir Rhyne Boulevard each day. The Urgent Care building could be open for business as early as spring 2008 with the retail and office component to follow shortly thereafter.
