CENTDEV Properties Moves Forward with New Lifestyle Center in Kernersville, NC

Cornelius, North Carolina – 2-27-07 - CENTDEV Properties is moving forward to develop Union Cross Towne Centre located in Kernersville, NC.  The 85 acre site is located on the northeast quadrant of Union Cross Road and I-40, which gives the site over 3500 feet of frontage on I-40 exposing the center to over 70,000 cars a day.

“This part of the Triad areas between Winston Salem and Greensboro is growing at a very rapid pace,” said Dale Tweedy, a Partner with Centdev Properties.  “With Dell opening the largest Dell plant in the country 1 mile away from our site and FedEx and Honda Jet also announcing significant entries into the local market, Kernersville is enjoying not only a sharp increase in high paying jobs but they are also seeing a significant rise in residential development.”

The Lifestyle center will encompass up to 300,000 square feet of retail and entertainment tenants and up to 100,000 square feet of office space.  In addition, Union Cross Towne Centre will also have two hotels and up to 200 villas and town homes mixed into this lifestyle center.  Site work for this project is scheduled to begin in Q3/2007 with the first tenants opening for business in mid 2008.
